After the continued success of Prada's women's scent Infusion d’Iris, Spanish company Puig is releasing a men's Infusion fragrance in October. Similar to the female version, it combines Florentine iris with cedar, vetiver, olibanum and benzoin, and comes in a bottle modeled on the women’s version. Sounds like Prada is running a little dry on originality over there...[Cosmetic News]
Karl Lagerfeld does it for the girls and boys with his new fragrance,
Kapsule. All three unisex scents will hit the States in November.
Some of Lagerfeld's favorite scents? Fresh bread, vanilla, woods and
spices. Fresh bread? Can we expect to smell like a bakery with these
new scents? Come November, we'll find out. [WWD]
For all you art-saavy men out there, it was just announced that Christie's will auction off a large portion of Yves Saint Laurent's art collection in February. Estimated at nearly $600 million, his well stocked collection includes pieces from Picasso, Mondrian, Matisse, Goya and, of course, Warhol. I've got my bidding paddle ready! [Fashionista]
Passing Judgment: David Beckham wore some hideous--and I mean hideous--eye wear when leaving a restaurant the other night. Usually he's so impeccably dressed. I'm calling for five more Armani Underwear ads to make up for this atrocity. I'm already in touch with his people. [The Sun]
The thought of Pierre Hardy designing shoes for The Gap sent our little heads swirling with the possibilities of the vast array of footwear he would create. Alas, the only thing we'll get out of him for fall is a pair of combat boots and a taupe desert boot. He's such a tease, that Pierre Hardy. [Material Interest]

It seems like the Armani underwear ads with Mr. Becks have just reached their boiling point, but the label has already announced their new model for the Fall 08 ads. His name is Takeshi Kaneshiro, and he is oh so delicious--and also the first Asian model for a major Armani ad campaign. Hooray for diversity! [Fashionista]
Yes, everyone--another celebrity fashion line. This time from Gossip Girl cast member Ed Westwick, who plays conniving and annoyingly over-the-top Chuck. He says he wants to add his "two cents" to the label he wore for his Vanity Fair shoot, which would imply either Thom Browne or Jack Spade. While we are more intrigued (and way excited) about the rumors that he and Chace Crawford (Nate) are real life lovers, we still have much higher hopes for his collaboration than Perez Hilton for Hot Topic. Bleh. [Fashionista]
Leonardo DiCaprio is working with his favorite watch designer, Jaeger-LeCoultre, to design time pieces for the Time to Care program, as well as develop a couple more to benefit the Leonardo DiCaprio Fund at
the California Community Foundation. The timepieces will debut in fall
2008, and all proceeds from the sales will directly benefit the cause. I'm moved by his initiative, but being that they retail for $300,000-400,000, I'm not feeling so charitable. [Fashion Week Daily]
Known and respected since the 70s, Linda Farrow sunglasses are known for a dark intense aesthetic that continues to peak the interest of the industry and consumers. Now, the label is set to collaborate with Yohji Yomamoto in a pairing that is as exciting as it is ambiguous. [Refinery 29]

Laser removal was always enough to deter me from getting a tattoo, but now my thoughts on the whole process might change knowing that I can grow my own skin to cover them up when I'm sick of them, which is what Pharrell Williams is going to do to cover up his ink. I'll gladly let him be the guinea pig of the procedure first. [British Vogue]

Karl Lagerfeld's body guard, Sébastien Jondeau (and arm candy if there ever was some), escorted him for his couture show bow wearing the bright yellow safety vest Lagerfeld himself wore in the French road-safety campaigns that popped up last month. I can hear Karl now, "buckle up, beetches." [WWD]
It's no longer enough to simply declare your fashion label eco-friendly; this fall, two companies are launching garment traceability and
corporate transparency initiatives through their web sites, allowing
consumers to track the production process of their garments. I love the planet and all, but like I have time to sit and make sure my organic cotton shirt is being sewn together by legal workers with environmentally safe thread. Save that for those Greenpeace wacks. [WWD]

Not content with creating a book to commemorate their retrsopective at the Barbican Art Gallery in London, Viktor & Rolf (pictured) have created limited-edition fragrances of Antidote and Flowerbomb. While the fragrances are essentially the same, the bottles are numbered and signed. Only 1,000 bottles of Antidote, the V&R's men's fragrance will be available and sell for $116. [FWD]

One Cry-Baby dancer plans to trade his high kicks in for a needle and thread in true Project Runway style. He's already designing dresses for the Tony Awards between performances. Now that Nina Garcia is poised to remain at ELLE until September 1st and finish out season 5 of Project Runway, an all out bitch-fight has broken out between Glamour, Cosmopolitan, InStyle, Marie Claire and Harper's Bazaar for sponsorship in the show's sixth season. Though this one will come down to dollar signs, if we had to pick a winner in a hypothetical personified match-up, we'd have to give it to Cosmo...that tramp would totally hide a shank in her hair. Having known for months that Matthew McConaughey would be the face of the Dolce & Gabanna's new fragrance, The One for Men, we've been eager to know what was in store for our good ol' olfactory sense. Well, the new scent has been revealed and it smells exactly how you would think McConaughey would—but then again, McConaughey's own eau du B.O. doesn't have a great reputation. [Now Smell This]
We've been wanting to don a huge blooming flower on our shoulder ever since season 2 of Sex and the City when Carrie Bradshaw so brazenly floralized every outfit she owned. Our gut told us it wasn't quite the time for such a move, but, praise be to Prada, GQ (albeit the British version) gives us the green light. [The Cut]
